Allison has practiced in commercial litigation since joining Somerville Legal in February 2008, and has also practiced in the area of mortgage enforcement.

Expertise

Allison has experience across a broad range of commercial matters including general contract disputes, strata disputes, building and construction disputes and debt recovery.
Some recent examples of matters she has handled include:

• Managed several building and construction disputes including Home Building Act claims, contract claims and Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act claims
• Advised in relation to Trade Practices Act and passing off claims
• Assisted clients in mediations
• Represented clients at all levels of litigation from Local Court and Federal Magistrates Court proceedings through to Court of Appeal matters.
• Provided advice in relation to strata law
• Provided advice on restraints of trade in employment agreements and distribution agreements.

Allison joined Somerville Legal in 2008 and was made an associate in 2010. Her passion for the law within her career is balanced by her passion for scuba diving outside her career.

Allison prides herself on providing practical legal advice that takes into consideration commercial objectives for her clients.
