Fiona Hoad joined Somerville Legal in 1997. Fiona specialises in both family law and commercial litigation, with comprehensive experience in both of these complex fields.
Fiona has practised in family law for over 12 years, and is an Accredited Family Law Specialist. Fiona’s experience includes all areas of family law including property, parenting, spouse maintenance applications and relocation applications.
Fiona is aware of the emotional and financial fallout of family law matters and accordingly she provides clients with a sensible and realistic approach to the resolution of their matter.
In addition to family law, Fiona has extensive experience in all forms of commercial litigation ranging from complex commercial litigation matters to employment litigation acting for corporate clients and individuals in all Court jurisdictions.
Fiona’s commercial litigation experience has complemented her family law practice as it has provided her with essential knowledge and skills relevant to family law financial matters involving complicated trusts and corporate structures.
Fiona has previously been a member of the Law Society Family Law Committee and is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia
Fiona is married with 3 children.
